Mr. Perkins is recognized as one of the top-rated personal injury attorneys in Virginia, having been selected to Super Lawyers in 2019-2020.  He focuses his practice almost exclusively on personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice litigation.  He has tried cases all over the state of Virginia and obtained numerous million-dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients.

Mr. Perkins has written and lectured on the subjects of personal injury law and medical malpractice litigation.  He is a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach Bar Associations, the Virginia State Bar, the Tidewater Trial Lawyers Association, where he was president in 1978, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, where he served two years on the Legislative Committee on Medical Malpractice.  Mr. Perkins graduated from the University of Virginia and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond Law School.

Mr. Perkins is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
